Services Offered

Our mandate is to offer to survivors of strokes and their families, social emotional, mental and physical support. We do exercises, dance therapy, music therapy, speech & language therapy, have speakers, hold discussions on health topics, stroke and caregiver issues, play games and go on field trips. Templeton Stroke Recovery Club is unique in that we have university and college students to help with our speech-language program. We try to make programs as individualized as possible for our stroke survivors.

Our members love to gamble so several trips per year are to casinos. Last summer we even did a cruise! Mind you, it was not a Carribean cruise, but it was a lovely one in Vancouver harbour. We had a wonderful time! The highlight of the year is our annual fundraiser Chistmas dinner with all the trimmings!

We offer lunches of homemade soup, sandwiches, sweet treats, coffee and tea at a reasonable cost. The lunch is wonderfully made and served by Ollie Stogrin, our kitchen queen, chief fundraiser and President and with the help of her staff of volunteers.
